Meet the Staff of the USGA Museum
The Museum staff consists of dedicated individuals who specialize in the game’s history and traditions. They also assist researchers with resource materials ranging from the printed word to images and photographs. Contact them any time with questions or comments.
Robert M. Williams
Director, USGA Museum & Arnold Palmer Center for Golf History
Robert Williams was named the Director of the USGA Museum in the summer of 2011. In Robert’s previous position, as an owner’s representative for cultural projects, he collaborated with Rand Jerris (the Museum’s former director) on the 2008 renovation and expansion of the USGA Museum, leading the design, construction and exhibition teams. Robert holds a BA from Rollins College and an MFA in design from New York University. He is responsible for strategic oversight of the Museum and the long-term development of this facility and its collections, as well as creating and supporting exhibition, education and research programs that share the collections with the public on-site, via the internet and at USGA championships.

Nancy Stulack
Librarian
A native of New Jersey, Nancy Stulack joined the USGA staff in 1985, working in the USGA Foundation Department before joining the Museum staff in 1990. She is responsible for the daily operation of the USGA Museum's Research Center, as well as administration of the Library Collection.

Shannon Doody
Film and Video Archivist
Shannon Doody, another New Jersey native, first joined the USGA in 1997, and has been a member of the Museum staff since 2001. Captain of a local volunteer fire department, Doody holds a B.A. in History from Providence College. He is responsible for coordinating all requests for film and video footage from the USGA collection.

Michael Trostel
Curator/Historian
Michael Trostel started with the USGA Museum as an Intern in 2006 and took over the position of Curator/Historian in 2010. A former competitor in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship, Trostel is originally from Pembroke, Mass. and holds a B.A. in History from the College of William and Mary and an M.A. in American Studies from Lehigh University. He is responsible for developing historical content and managing research activities at the Museum.

Nicole Ciaramella
Photo Editing Coordinator, Photographic Archives
Nicole Ciaramella, a New Jersey native, joined the Museum team in 2010 when she filled in as a temporary Archives Assistant. Following her experience, she was hired as the full-time Coordinator. Previously having studied in Japan for a semester, Ciaramella graduated from Syracuse University with a B.F.A. in Art Photography and also holds a minor in Sociology. She is responsible for handling all requests for images, editing images on-site at USGA championships and maintaining the Museum’s photographic collection.

Kim Gianetti
Assistant Manager, Marketing and Outreach
Kim Gianetti, a New Jersey native, joined the Museum staff in 2008. With more than twenty years experience in corporate management, customer service, retail sales and creative design, Gianetti is responsible for the daily oversight and operation related to visitor services and management of the Museum’s Gift Shop. In addition, she is responsible for coordinating corporate events, developing educational and outreach programs, and overseeing marketing, publicity and communication efforts for the Museum.

Robert Alvarez
Collections Manager
Robert Alvarez joined the Museum staff in 2008. Originally from Philadelphia, he graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a B.A. in History, and later Rutgers University with an M.A. in History. As Collections Manager, Alvarez is responsible for the care of the collection, coordination of loans and acquisitions, answering research inquiries, and general Museum record keeping.

Susan Wasser
Coordinator, Special Projects
Susan Wasser joined the Museum staff in 2009. She holds a B.A. degree in Art History from Hiram College and has extensive professional experience in retail and human resource management, marketing and event planning. Susan serves as the project manager for special Museum projects, programs and events.
